Welcome
The Regional Community Support Center at Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute is thrilled to announce its second annual conference, Recovery Partnerships: Building Bridges for Personal Safety.
Dear Consumers, Family Members and Providers:
The RCSC Advisory Council would like to welcome you to the second annual Recovery Partnerships Conference. This will mark our one-year anniversary and we are thrilled to be able to offer another educational conference for the Region II community. Similar to last year, the conference will focus on expanding the opportunities for ongoing inquiry and learning to support the reduction and hoped-for elimination of seclusion and restraint use. Each of the presentations offered will provide information that adds to the continued support of the transformation of our mental health system toward a recovery-oriented system of care focused on consumer empowerment and strong partnerships.
The Regional Community Support Center @ NVMHI is dedicated to:
- The safety of consumers, families and service providers
- The elimination of the need for coercion and the use of seclusion and restraint
- The full integration of trauma- informed care in all settings
- Positive partnerships between consumers and service providers
- Healing treatments that inspire hope and make recovery possible
Please take this day to learn some new things, meet some new friends, get reacquainted with some old friends, but most of all enjoy yourselves.
Sincerely,
The Regional Community Support Center Advisory Committee
