Hotel Guest Room Rate Information
Federated Group has a negotiated group rate of $215/night with the Drake Hotel and therefore it is necessary that all reservations, changes and cancellations be made through the Federated Group Meeting and Event Planning Department. To register, please complete the online registration form before May 30, 2008.
Early arrivals and late departures may be requested at the group rate at the time the registration form is submitted. The group rate is extended one (1) day prior and one (1) day following the show dates based upon availability.
Room cancellations received less than 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date will be subject to a one (1) night hotel charge plus tax.
Airport Transportation
Taxi: Average taxi cab fare from O'Hare airport to the Drake Hotel can range from $35.00 to $45.00 depending on the time of day and $25.00-$30.00 from Midway airport.
Continental Air Transport/Airport Express shuttle leaves O'Hare and Midway airports every 10 to 15 minutes to all downtown hotels. The cost from O'Hare: $25 one-way $46 roundtrip and from Midway: $20 one-way $36 round trip. Reservations are not required. You can purchase tickets online at www.airportexpress.com or at the baggage claim area when you arrive.
Spouse Event
Federated Group will host a spouse event on Tuesday, July 29 from 9:00AM - 12:30PM. Additional information will be posted here in the coming weeks.
Weather
The average temperature in Chicago for the months of July and August can range from 78 degrees to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Please note cooling systems in the hotel may cause you to consider bringing a sweater or blazer to the events.
Dress Code
The dress code for all meetings and events is business casual.
